Meet Our President
My name is Baron Eickhoff, and I live in Florida with my wonderful wife, Christine.
My 45 years experience in education and in auditing to AS9100 has given me the right background for launching this online campus. I am in a good position to ensure that the right people in companies get the right information for achieving world-class compliance.
From my years as a Community College adjunct to my years ensuring compliance to AS9100 at Kennedy Space Center, to the present, my focus is working with real people to make a real difference.
I started auditing for registrars in 2009 and have enjoyed traveling the country and getting to meet (and often become friends with) many great people in the aviation, space, and defense industry.
I’m hoping that we build new friendships here at AS9100 University, as we serve our new clients.

The AS9100 University Story - How we came to be
The Problem
AS9100 certified companies have expressed a lot of frustration through the years with the lack of dependable information on what the aerospace industry expects of them. Additionally, many were beginning to find themselves under the threat of being issued a major noncompliance for repeat offenses that seemed almost impossible to control. After all, how does anyone make sure hundreds of production personnel don’t scribble on a record? Good solid companies with good performance records are being frustrated with what seems like a never-ending stream of NCRs from AS9100 audits, and each of these cost time and money to resolve.
The Ah-Hah Moment
As a certified AS9100 Lead Auditor with a background in both aerospace and education, I knew there must be an answer to this problem. As I started doing my research on how to help companies with their compliance issues, I discovered something that no one seemed to be talking about. It seemed that over 80% of the AS9100 NCRs that were getting issued each year were issued against a certain handful of AS9100 requirements in each work group! It became obvious that there were a handful of ‘trouble makers’ that caused the bulk of compliance problems for companies and their work groups.
That's Why Traditional AS9100 Training Rarely Helps
I suddenly realized why traditional AS9100 training wasn’t going to help companies resolve their compliance issues. Traditional AS9100 training doesn’t even identify the key trouble-makers in the standard, yet alone offer help to personnel on how to comply with them. Mature companies like yours have spent a lot of money over the years to have traditional instructors spend countless hours wading through hundreds of AS9100 requirements that rarely cause any compliance issues. (This is almost like holding a class with mature adults to cover basics like waking, washing, and walking, when what we really need is pointers on health and financial management!)
The Solution
Finally, with the encouragement of AS9100 clients around the country, I set out on a journey to identify the key AS9100 requirement trouble-makers, and come up with a way of helping AS9100 companies comply with them. The vision for AS9100 University was born!
